Happy Christmas

Happy Christmas my dears! Here's a charming antique Victorian Christmas card for you, from my collection, with a sweet verse on the back. Click on the images to enlarge them and then right click and save.

The verse on the back reads:

A Happy Christmas

This pretty little maiden
(Fit emblem of the Spring)
Now comes with flowers laden,
My Christmas wish to bring.

She lightly trips to meet you
With graceful mirth and glee;
And thus her accents greet you;
"Bright may your Christmas be".

Thank you so much for visiting me here at Favourite Vintage Finds this year. See you next year! :)

In My Daydreams...

Back in May this year I posted about a vintage flower picking basket I purchased. In that post I also shared that I'm one to daydream about picking flowers in expansive cottage gardens, wildflower-laden meadows, and along sun-dappled woodland paths...

So when I saw this gorgeous Victorian Clark's Spool Cotton trade card on etsy, I had to buy it!

And you can have it too! Click on the card to enlarge it and right click and save it.

Find more vintage postcards from my collection that you can have in my Vintage Postcards for You section.

Until next time my dears..:)

This Thursday I'm hosting another giveaway, an early Christmas giveway. A group of talented etsians have created angel ornaments to give away to ten lucky Favourite Vintage Finds readers!

Each of the one-of-a-kind ornaments has been created using an antique porcelain doll. The dolls date from 1850-1900, and were excavated from around closed doll factories in Thuringia, Germany. Above is one of the ten fabulous ornaments that will be offered as prizes in the giveaway! Just wait until you see the other nine! Have a joyful week! See you Thursday! :)
