There's been so much rain and so many grey skies in my neck of the woods the past couple of weeks...

Destash Time!

This week I decided it's time to destash some of my vintage fashion treasures. I've been sorting through my vintage clothing and accessories and have been working out what I'm going to part with and auction on eBay.

Next week I'll give you sneak peeks of the fabulous and gorgeous one-of-a-kind treasures I'm going to be auctioning soon.

The doll in the photo above is one of my favourite movie stars, Jane Powell. Click on the photo to enlarge it. I purchased the 50's photo from someone who inherited a lot of vintage photos and memorabilia from a relative who was employed by Metro Goldwyn Meyer as a cinematographer. Typed on the back of the photo is "MGM's Jane Powell goes on shopping spree during her Las Vegas, Nevada appearance."

A Gem I Know

Here is one of my favourite 50's photos of my gem of a Mum. On the day this photo was taken Mum had her silhouette done by well-known scissor artist S. John Ross. And here is the elegant silhouette:
