I found this today. To add a vintage touch to pumpkins, use paper doilies as stencils! What a refreshingly nice idea for Halloween! Nice too for autumn/fall displays and American and Canadian Thanksgiving.

Meet Libby and Lucy by Retro Bird Designs. Aren't they just adorable? They have a Shirley Temple/Kewpie esque look about them.

Vintage inspired fabrics are used to make these dolls and the also adorable lavender scented Babushka dolls below.

Vintage Books as Display Pieces...

Old hardcover books look great as display pieces on coffee tables, side tables and bed side tables etc. A little stack...one here...one there...and in bundles tied with string or ribbon. I love this pendant by QA CREATE! It has been made using a polished vintage typewriter key from the 1930's - 1940's. These fab pendants are available in any letter in black or white.

Wrap-and-Go!

Here's my fantabulous new wrap top made by my wonderful Mum! Love the kimono sleeves and boho beach flavour. Another great feature of this top is that it's reversible (white on the other side). Last month I purchased the fresh vintage 70's fabric from highly recommended online shop Retro Age Vintage Fabrics. See my September 12 post for a close up photo of the fabric. The pattern used to make the top is 70's Butterick pattern 6835.
